Manaslu expedition


Manaslu expedition is an adventurous climbing expedition in the western Nepal to climb the 8163meters peak of Mount Manaslu. Mount Manaslu is considered as the eight highest peak of the world which is resided in the Kali Gandaki valley of Lamjung District of Nepal. This mountain lays 40miles distant towards eastern side of Annapurna region. Mount Manaslu is witnessed as two white peaks of long pointed slope transforming in to summit of the surrounding landscape. Mount Manaslu is the alternative mountain to climb as it doesn’t falls under the summit of Everest region. The climbing route to the summit of mount Manaslu is a touch straight climb to the peak which is supported by four high camps during the climbing expedition. Initially climbed by the Japanese expeditors this mountain is called the Japanese mountain due to its first initial ascending days which were only Japanese. Mount Manaslu is named In Sanskrit language which defines Manaslu as a soul and is a property of Lord Shiva in Hindu ethnicity.

The expedition takes the climbers to Arughat Bazar of western Nepal after 6 hours of vehicle drive from Kathmandu. The climbers trekking towards the Manaslu Base Camp passes through the traditional and remote village of western Nepal incorporated of dense forests, diverse natural vegetation, and different climates dominated by the Himalayan of mount Manaslu. Before the Manaslu base camp there is a last village bordering mount Manaslu is called Sama Gaon residing in high altitude of 3400 meters. The travel till Manaslu base camp is a distant walking through the rocky surfaces dominated by gigantic views of Mount Manaslu which is a fascinating wonder of nature. Mount Manaslu climbing expedition is best through North-East route which is a straight and long climbing till the peak. This North-east route is all season route which can be used all year round.

Day 03: Drive to Arughat (570m) to start the Manaslu climbing expedition

Day 04: Soti Khola (730m) / Korsani Khola

Day 05: Machha Khola (930m)

Day 06: Jagat (1370m)

Day 07: Philim (1570m)

Day 08: Deng (1540m)

Day 09: Ghap (2165m)

Day 10: Lho (3180m)

Day 11: Sama Goan (Ro) 3525m

Day 12: Rest day Sama Gaon

Day 13: Trek Manaslu BC (4750 m)

Day 14-41: Manaslu expedition climbing period

Day 42: Trek do Sama Goan after the Manaslu expedition

Day 43-47: Trek back to Arughat

Day 48: Drive back to Kathmandu

Day 49: Free day in Kathmandu

Day 50: Manaslu Expedition ends / airport transfer for the flight back home
